Susan McMaster has created art in one form or another since she was a small girl growing up in southeast Michigan. Her love for art developed during the formative years.
After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan, Susan started her art career as a sculptor but found metal work in jewelry a captivating and deeply rewarding career change. Devoting all her time to creating beautiful hand-crafted pieces of wearable art, Susan draws inspiration from everyday objects, as well as nature. Focusing on the simplicity of contemporary design, many of her pieces incorporate the use of 14 karat gold rivets and textured surfaces.
